SOILWORK Issues Update On European Tour

November 3, 2008

Swedish metallers SOILWORK have issued the following update:

"We're very sorry to announce that due to tragic circumstances [a passing in drummer Gene Hoglan's family], ZIMMERS HOLE have understandably decided to pull out of their direct support slot on our upcoming European headlining tour. Because of this unpredictable change and short notice, we've decided to move ONE-WAY MIRROR into our direct support slot. Although this may shorten the length of the evening, it doesn't change our excitement to once again share the stage with Peter Wichers, and to welcome Sylvain Coudret to his first official tour as a member of SOILWORK! We would like to dedicate this tour to Gene Hoglan and his family, and wish them all the necessary strength through this difficult time. You are in our thoughts."

Listenable Records has announced plans to re-release the classic first albums from Swedish metallers SOILWORK. "Steelbath Suicide" (1998) and "The Chainheart Machine" (1999) will be reissued in deluxe super jewelcases with revamped artwork and contain various bonus tracks. Out of print for a while, these re-releases are a "must-have for any SOILWORK fan who missed the originals while the various bonus materials make it worth for die-hard fans to get these gems again," the label says in a press release.

SOILWORK was recently rejoined by guitarist Peter Wichers.

The band will headline a massive North American tour beginning in late January 2009 with DARKANE, WARBRINGER, and SWALLOW THE SUN.
